Your new team

As Specialist Platform Consultant, you will be joining our European Business Services team. European Business Services (EBS) is a shared services organization dedicated to helping Ahold Delhaize’s great European brands achieve their strategic goals. Key focus areas of your role

Be the technical expert for display advertising

You’ll lead the implementation and support of our Retail Media display solutions, acting as the go‑to specialist within the Service & Performance team. Your expertise ensures smooth integrations and high‑quality delivery for our retail partners.

Turn complex setups into clear, scalable solutions

You document new implementations thoroughly and translate technical details into simple, actionable explanations for clients and internal teams. Your clarity helps both technical and non‑technical stakeholders move forward with confidence.

Lead integrations and collaborate directly with retailer developers

You take ownership of explaining our technical setup, guiding integration choices, and shaping tailored implementation plans. By working closely with retailer development teams, you ensure every solution fits seamlessly into their ecosystem.

Build reusable components and elevate team knowledge

You create reusable templates for retail media formats and proactively share knowledge to strengthen the team’s capabilities. Through documentation, training, and hands‑on guidance, you help others master our ad‑tech solutions.

Balance implementation, consultancy, and support with senior ownership

You coordinate support tickets, delegate tasks to junior colleagues, and continuously look for ways to automate repetitive work. Your focus on efficiency and improvement helps us deliver better service and smoother integrations for every retailer.

The ingredients you bring

Everyone brings their unique flavor. We believe this role comes to life when you bring the following:

• Senior-level experience implementing and configuring ad servers

• Ability to operate from a technical supplier perspective, with strong IT focus and developer‑level communication

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and GitHub; experience with BigQuery, Databricks, and SQL

• Strong skills in analyzing business needs and translating them into technical solutions

• Fast learner with a steep learning curve mindset, strong teamwork, presentation, and problem‑solving abilities

• Fluent English communication skills

Nice to Have: TypeScript, Python, and experience with the technical setup of programmatic advertising
