Your new role and environment

As our new colleague, you will operate at the heart of our global, fast-moving company. By supporting and monitoring application environments, you help ensure that AD Group Enterprise Platforms has the processes and structures in place to continue our high-level performance..

As a Junior SAP HR & Payroll Application Support Specialist you will be joining our HR Tech department — the driving force behind the technology that supports our people, payroll, and rewards processes. Powered by innovative strategies, our Tech teams are fully aligned to develop, maintain, and improve the platforms that serve more than 400,000 associates across multiple countries.

In this role, you will contribute to the efficient management of payroll-enabling applications and tools, ensuring that our HR functions deliver accurate and timely payslips. You will support key systems such as payroll interface applications, helping us prioritize tasks, address issues quickly, and ensure seamless daily operations for critical HR services.

Even in a junior role, you will be given the freedom and responsibility to take ownership of your work. You will collaborate with knowledgeable colleagues from various countries, gaining exposure to multiple HR and payroll technologies. We will invest in your development, help you build strong technical and functional foundations, and support your growth into future roles within HR Tech.

Key responsibilities of your role:

1. Payroll System Monitoring

· Execute daily SAP-based payroll system monitoring activities based on defined checklists and procedures.

· Identify and report deviations in system processing, job execution, or payroll‑related interfaces.

· Support senior team members during payroll runs and system incidents by providing monitoring data and status updates.

2. Account Management Support

· Creating, extending, and deactivating user accounts (straightforward and well-documented tasks).

· Following detailed work instructions for account processes prepared by the senior specialist.

3. Quality, Controls & Continuous Improvement

· Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), especially for systems handling sensitive data, and support audit-related activities (with guidance).S

· Assisting with data checks, reporting, and documentation.

· Raise potential improvements to simplify recurring tasks.

· Help maintain documentation for internal processes.

4. Change Management Support (with Guidance)

· Prepare and submit change requests based on predefined inputs and instructions.

· Check that change documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with internal standards.

· Act as first contact for basic change process questions from Scrum teams and escalate complex issues to senior colleagues.

5. Project Support

· Provide administrative support to the project team (documentation, data preparation, testing).

· Assist with capturing business requirements and understanding system configuration (with senior guidance).

· Participate in testing activities for the new solution.

Requirements:

· 0–2 years of experience in IT support or system administration.

· Basic experience working with SAP systems, preferably in an HR or payroll context.

· Interest in HR systems, payroll processes, and compliance tools.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured procedures.

· Willingness to learn new systems and legislation step-by-step.

· Good communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.

· Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

· Fluent in English (both spoken and written), as it is essential to communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders across different locations.

· Working hours: 9–17 CET with occasional US overlap

· The role can be performed fully remotely. Regular on-site meetings with the local line manager are encouraged, especially during the onboarding phase.

Nice to Have (Not Required)

· Experience with HR systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors).

· Familiarity with ServiceNow or other ticketing systems.

· Basic Excel/reporting experience.

· Familiarity with agile methodologies and cross-functional team approach.
