To do real data science, you need more than algorithms — you need real data and real impact.
At Ahold Delhaize, you’ll work with rich, complex financial data across multiple European brands. Together with an experienced analytics team, you’ll build machine learning solutions that are developed, tested, and used in real business workflows, supporting decision-making, logistics planning, and operational processe.

Your new work environment
You will join our Reporting & Analytics team, collaborating closely with colleagues in Serbia and the Netherlands.
While part of the team focuses on reporting, the analytics stream operates as a true data science unit, developing machine learning–based solutions in the financial domain. The team is growing, collaborative, and impact-driven, with a strong mix of junior, medior, and senior profiles.
Your role is diverse and combines data analysis, machine learning, and close collaboration with the business.
Key Responsibilities:
-Analyze large and complex financial datasets to generate actionable insights and support data‑driven decision‑making
-Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models for real‑world use cases (e.g., classification, forecasting, automation)
-Translate analytical findings into clear, concise insights and visualizations for both business and technical stakeholders
-Automate data flows and analytical processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual work
-Build and maintain data models in accordance with data governance standards, partnering closely with both the analytics and reporting teams
-Contribute to the development of scalable and reliable financial reporting and analytics solutions used across multiple brands and countries
-Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure solutions address real business needs
Requirements:
-Strong knowledge of Python and SQL
-Experience with Databricks or similar data platforms
-1–3 years of relevant experience
-Practical experience with machine learning models
-Degree in a technical or quantitative field (Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science)
-Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
-Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback
-Clear communication and ability to understand business needs
-Excellent command of English
