Your new work environment 

As Tech Talent Acquisition Specialist you'll be working within the Tech Squad of the Ahold Delhaize Career Center, based in Zaandam HQ. You'll be part of the Permanent Tech Recruitment Team and also work closely together with our Tech Flex Recruiter(s). In our team you can make a significant impact with your IT knowledge, recruitment experience, stakeholder management skills and (fun and hard working) personality. There's also close communication with colleagues in Recruitment Marketing, HR Onboarding Support and HRBP’s.

In your day-to-day role, you'll interact with inspiring (inter)national IT colleagues and tech hiring managers from various innovative Albert Heijn Technology platforms in The Netherlands. A community of people, representing over 25 nationalities, with diverse skills and backgrounds, and a shared ambition: building solutions that make (online) shopping easier and more enjoyable. Albert Heijn invests heavily in data, digital, and technology. This also applies to finding the best or most talented Software Engineers, Engineering Managers and all the other new Tech colleagues we're looking for. If tech stack like Kotlin, React.js, Kubernetes, Kafka, MongoDB, Azure Cloud, Microservices sounds familiar, then this is the place for you.

 Key responsibilities of your role 

Your role is highly diverse and encompasses various responsibilities. Here are the key ones: 

 

  • As a Tech Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for recruiting new tech candidates for the various Tech Platform teams. You understand the tech candidate market like no other and enjoy considering how to entice candidates in the current market to come in for interviews.
  • As part of the AH Tech Recruitment Squad, you will proactively approach vacancies in an agile, prioritized manner. You are the tech recruiter who also enjoy actively sourcing and have a network within the IT sector. We don’t use any agencies for filling our tech roles, just your expertise as part of a strong tech recruitment team.
  • You will ensure a smooth and transparent recruitment process, including conducting intakes / interviews, sending out tech assessments, and negotiating contracts with potential new colleagues. Candidate experience is also important to you.

 

Requirements 

We think you’ll be best geared for success if you meet the following requirements:  

  • You have strong IT recruitment experience in a corporate environment or within an IT recruitment agency. International experience and is a strong asset.
  • You have an affinity for all things tech and enjoy spending time with tech colleagues at all levels within the tech organization, and of course, with your own tech team as part of the Career Center. To be successful, you must quickly connect with everyone, build relationships, choose the right tone of voice, collaborate efficiently, and set up and manage the right recruitment activities necessary to achieve hiring targets.
  • Solid coordination skills and knowledge of both Dutch and English are essential.
  • Like us, you combine a passion for tech with a service-oriented and no-nonsense mentality, while also being results-driven.

 

Aside from these hard skills, we think you should also bring some much-valued soft skills to the table: an entrepreneurial mindset, outspoken communication skills and a proactive approach. In addition to these, a high level of creativity, empathy, and enthusiasm will take you far.

Application

Job interview(s)

After you have been selected and depending on the role, you will be invited for one or more job interviews. The job interview, which is a two way conversation, will take place online (via Teams) or at the office. You will be informed by the recruiter. This is your moment to shine (but you always do ofcourse)

Online Assessment

When both parties would like to continue the conversation you will be invited for an online assessement, also known as pre-employment tests. The purpose of the test is helping hiring manager determine whether a candidate has the skills, work style, knowlegde of personality to succeed in a the role.

Job Offer
