Director IAM Program
The Global Director of Identity and Access Management (IAM) Program is responsible for leading a team of Product Owners and representing stakeholders’ interests. This role involves setting the strategic direction for all IAM products within the company, defining the annual roadmap, and overseeing the delivery of new developments, improvements, and maintenance.
This position requires a strategic thinker with strong collaboration skills and a customer service approach to partnering with stakeholders to deliver identity services. The Global Director will report directly to the VP of IAM Products and Security Architecture and work closely with peer information security leaders.
Key Responsibilities of your role
Your role is highly diverse and encompasses various responsibilities. Here are the key ones:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the strategy for IAM products, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Meets regularly with IT and business leaders globally to discuss their pain points and long-term aspirations
- Discusses and agrees on roadmap content and priorities
- Works hand in hand with the Lead Global Security Architecture, Lead IAM
- Operations and Lead IAM Engineering and User experience
- Collaborate on development of the digital road map and key strategic enablers, designing the workflow and business processes that allow new applications, products, and services to be rolled out quickly while ensuring that legacy
applications and IT operations are maintained at optimal levels.
- Roadmap Definition:
- Define and manage the yearly roadmap for IAM products.
- Drives the right prioritization with the team
- Supports building the strategy for IAM and leads products execution part of strategy
- Define business impact of security incidents and identify and drive recommendations for change to prevent similar incidents to related products.
- As subject matter expert on IAM products and beyond, maintain understanding of current technology, database management, programming practices, and future trends through ongoing education, conference attendance and industry press
- Document the most complex "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required.
- Delivery Oversight:
- Ensure the successful delivery of new developments, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance of IAM products.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with IT and business departments, as well as external vendors and service providers.
- Technical Expertise:
- Maintain a detailed working knowledge of current and emerging IAM technologies and their implementation.
- Team Leadership:
- Provide leadership, training, and mentoring to the IAM Product Owners.
- Communicate the departments strategy and its relationship to the function’s goals (and organization mission, vision and values); clarify the actions needed to implement it within the area of responsibility; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals.
- Manage and report on performance of IAM products team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.
- Evaluate the capabilities of staff within the department to identify gaps and prioritize development activities. Implement the organization's formal development frameworks within the area of responsibility. Coach and mentor others to support the development of the organization's talent pool.

Requirements
We think you’ll be best geared for success if you meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree.
- 12+ years of hands-on work experience within large corporate IT environments and projects.
- Solid understanding of IAM across different domains; knowledge on IBM identity stack and azure active directory is considered a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of IAM principles, concepts, and best practices
- Demonstrated leadership skills to drive teams, manage stakeholders, and motivate team members
- Solid technical background
- Demonstrated experience with security standards and regulatory requirements relevant to IAM (such as GDPR)
- Demonstrated proficiency in IAM products
- Strong interest in IAM landscape and ability and willingness to stay updated with trends and new industry best practices
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong project planning skills
- Strong demonstrated reporting abilities to measure and improve effectiveness of IAM platform
- Strong project management skills to oversee management/implementation of IAM transformations
- Strong experience with Agile
- Prior experience as a Product Owner
- The ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to get the job done.
- The ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment where planning and setting priorities can change
