first year rotation at EU&I


I would describe my first-year rotation at Europe & Indonesia (EU&I) as a mix of project management and consulting, supporting brands on HR topics like Learning & Development, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Performance Management. Working closely with different brands, the role involved managing existing European programs while also exploring new ideas and initiatives where we can better collaborate and leverage our European scale.  

Some of the key responsibilities included running the UGURU Leadership Program, hosting monthly masterclasses for the EU Director-level and above population and coordinating the European Talent Acquisition Community (which included coordinating team offsites in both Prague and Serbia). In addition, I also worked on projects to research new topics, such as the potential of alumni networks and HR’s role in Health & Sustainability. Since the team works on various topics, there is also plenty of room to explore personal development areas through coaching and mentorship of the team. For example, I also got the opportunity to support projects in the CSE Region and work together with the CSE HR Vice Presidents.

My role wasn't limited to the Czech Republic; it encompassed the entire Central and South East European (CSE) region (Romania, Serbia, Greece, and the Czech Republic). I supported the Strategy Director for this region and I was the program coordinator of HR, ensuring that the four countries and brands collaborated to win together. More specific things I have been working on are: organizing a strategic summit for the top 50 of the CSE and organizing a CSE HR offsite, analyzing our Top Employer Institute scores to see where we can learn from each other, organizing Townhalls that were live broadcasted from our studio in the headquarters in Prague and supporting on multiple projects regarding people culture, people effectiveness, people recognition and people growth. 

It was incredibly inspiring to work together with four countries with distinct cultures and to see that together you can achieve success. Through our projects and initiatives, we strive to be the number 1 or 2 employer in each country, and I'm proud to say that all four have been certified as Top Employers by the Top Employer Institute.
