Why choose the International Finance Traineeship?

Our financial household is the backbone of our organization. Our goal is rather straightforward: we take care of the finances – for the organization and our entire family of brands. We provide the financial expertise and valuable insights that drive the business performance at Ahold Delhaize and our brands all over the world.

Being active in the U.S., Indonesia and Europe, our financial challenges do not stop at country borders. The International Finance Traineeship is a 3-year development program in which you get the opportunity to start your finance career at Ahold Delhaize.

To become a seasoned finance professional, you will have at least three rotations within or between our different brands and countries. The program is built on three pillars: social and business development; technical and functional skills; and leadership development. You experience retail from the corporate side by having functional skills training and by working on finance related projects. Engaging in international assignments will prepare you in becoming Ahold Delhaize’s next future leader. We stimulate cross-functional learning by organizing learning sessions, together with fellow Trainees and other inspiring colleagues.

What can you expect as an International Finance Trainee?

as an International Finance Trainee, ideally, you…

hold a HBO/WO bachelor or a Master degree, or will have it by the start of the traineeship.
have two years (max) work experience.
have an excellent proficiency in English (level C1 or up).
reside in and are eligible to work in the Netherlands. Plus you’ll need to have a good understanding (written and spoken) of English and/or Dutch.
are excited and eager to start your development journey with us and possibly become the next senior leader within our international organization!
