  • Advise and manage corporate law and governance related matters
  • Advise and manage global M&A activities             
  • Advise on emerging corporate and governance related regulatory requirements 
  • Own and maintain various internal policies

As the Manager Legal, you assume end-to-end responsibility for all legal work supporting various strategic endeavours, particularly in corporate, M&A, and governance domains. In this role you provide clear legal advice reflecting the understanding of our internal and external stakeholders and bearing in mind the strategy of Ahold Delhaize.


The position of Manager Legal is highly impactful because it closely partners with our senior personnel across the organization. There is a guaranteed openness in sharing and co-creating. You will recognize your success by being a trusted advisor with a broad perspective on external and internal interlinked topics. Thinking out of the box is often the game's name because nothing is set in stone. Specific legal requirements are emerging and transforming, so you must think strategically and adopt a hypothesis-driven mindset.

The role is part of the Global Legal and Public Affairs team, consisting of legal, public affairs, and asset protection experts with a broad focus and proficient experience. In this way, you will substantially broaden your horizon and deepen your impact. Being open and caring about the team, you will thrive in a supportive and fun working environment. As our new Manager Corporate Legal, you will report directly to the Corporate Legal Director while working closely with two other Corporate Legal Managers, all collaborative, hardworking and fun colleagues. We welcome caring colleagues who have: 

  • Combine a Master's degree in Law with a minimum of 5 years of experience in legal in a leading multinational and/or Law firm
  • Bring solid management and leadership qualities to the table because you will effectively organize your work, engage with internal and external stakeholders and have solid communication skills
  • A professional and intrinsic motivation to help define, interpret and maintain corporate legal requirements
  • Can bridge the gap between business and legal requirements


Besides that, you're able to:

  • Support and advise senior functional and executive leadership on sensitive and confidential topics
  • Identify and engage the relevant stakeholders on critical internal and external topics
  • Build relationships with highly critical, intelligent and essential internal and external stakeholders
  • Master complex information quickly and translate for internal and external audiences

Job interview(s)

After you have been selected and depending on the role, you will be invited for one or more job interviews. The job interview, which is a two way conversation, will take place online (via Teams) or at the office. You will be informed by the recruiter. This is your moment to shine (but you always do ofcourse)


Online Assessment

When both parties would like to continue the conversation you will be invited for an online assessement, also known as pre-employment tests. The purpose of the test is helping hiring manager determine whether a candidate has the skills, work style, knowlegde of personality to succeed in a the role.
