Your new team 
As Finance Coordinator Opex, you will be joining our Finance team within European Shared Services. 

Key focus areas of your role 

• Posting invoices and expenses to the appropriate General Ledger (GL) accounts
• Understanding cost centers and cost allocation methodologies
• Reviewing supporting documentation, tax treatment, and accounting entries in line with established procedures and controls
• Preparing and posting accruals and prepayments
• Performing account reconciliations and supporting month-end closing activities
• Strong understanding of General Ledger (GL) accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes
• Ability to identify and resolve common accounting discrepancies
• Ability to resolve complex accounting entries, reconciliation issues, and accounting variances
• Participation in month-end and year-end closing activities, financial analyses, and process improvement initiatives
• Strong accounting knowledge with hands-on experience in month-end closing processes
• Acting as a subject matter expert and providing guidance and support to other team members
• Reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of accounting entries, reconciliations, and the overall quality of team deliverables
• Managing escalations and addressing complex accounting matters
• Monitoring deadlines, ensuring compliance with procedures, and maintaining high levels of accuracy.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting standards (IFRS and/or local GAAP) is considered an advantage

The ingredients you bring 
Everyone brings their unique flavor. We believe this role comes to life when you bring the following experience: 

• Level IV qualification (secondary education), degree in Economics or a related discipline
• At least 4 years of relevant accounting experience, including responsibility for work review, coordination or team support activities
• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, control reporting, and working with large datasets
• Excellent written and verbal business communication skills in English, including leading meetings and collaborating with stakeholders
