The Analyst EU Finance, leads the overall General & administrative expenses process for the European team which spans across the central team costs management, IT organization (EU Zaandam based), European Business Service (EBS), including the central HR, Finance and Not for Resale (NFR) organization.

Your new team
At the heart of the European Ahold Delhaize organization sits the European Finance team to drive support for the European team, that drives the alignment, consistency & clarity for our great local brands in areas of IT, shared service centers (Finance & HR), joint sourcing & the ever-changing ESG transition. The European finance team supports the brands on cross-functional projects in the past mentioned areas and drives the overall European portfolio to ensure that we deliver as Europe.
While the role will lead the G&A process (close, forecast, summer letter planning, intercompany cross charges) for European organization & cross functional projects, we also see the role being a part of other BPP processes. The role has full G&A ownership but supporting other BPP processes creates a great learning opportunity to build a set of experiences that can help you grow as a finance professional.
This position is based in Belgrade.Â

Key focus areas of your role
Your role is highly diverse and encompasses various responsibilities. Here are the key ones:
- Leads complex financial analysis and provides strategic insights to support senior management decision-making.
- Acts as a trusted financial advisor to tactical and strategic stakeholders (Directors / VPs), providing recommendations to improve financial and business performance.
- Oversees development of analytical methodologies, dashboards and reporting frameworks supporting business performance management.
- Identifies strategic opportunities and risks through deep analysis of financial, operational and market data.
- G&A close – close the period of the European finance entities and provide detailed insights into deviations and potential follow ups.
- G&A Forecast – align with your cross functional partners on upcoming forecast and drive consistency & transparency to deliver on the forecasts.
- Drives continuous improvement of financial reporting, analytics capabilities and decision-support tools.
- Leads cross-functional initiatives related to financial performance, cost optimization and strategic planning.
- Ensures high standards of financial governance, reporting integrity and compliance with corporate policies.

The ingredients you bring
Everyone brings their unique flavor. We believe this role comes to life when you bring the following:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field
- At least 4-5 years of relevant experience in finance, financial planning & analysis, controlling or business analytics
- Advanced analytical capabilities and strong business partnering skills;
- Proficiency in English and advanced MS Office skills
