The opportunity

At the AB Learning Center of Excellence, learning is a strategic lever for business performance, transformation, and sustainable growth powered by the continuous development of our people and the capabilities that matter most to the business.

As a Learning Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the organization’s capability agenda. Working in close partnership with HRBPs and business leaders, you will translate strategic priorities into impactful, scalable learning solutions that strengthen leadership, frontline excellence, and organizational readiness.

You will support the continuous evolution of the Learning function by leveraging learning technologies, data, and AI to maximize both people’s development and business value.

What you will focus on

Strategy & Capability Building

  • Partner with HRBPs and business stakeholders to identify critical capability and learning needs linked to strategic priorities and performance goals.
  • Translate business strategy and operating model evolution into clear capability roadmaps and learning interventions.
  • Apply strong business acumen to ensure learning initiatives address real business challenges and opportunities.

Learning Design & Delivery

  • Design end-to-end learning journeys, curricula, and learning paths using advanced adult learning and learning experience design principles.
  • Deliver and facilitate learning interventions that enable leadership effectiveness, frontline excellence, and operational performance.
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and scalability of learning solutions across different populations and formats.

Digital Learning, Data & AI

  • Design and develop blended and digital learning solutions, including eLearning content creation using authoring tools (e.g. Articulate 360) and deployment through the LMS platform (SAP SuccessFactors). 
  • Leverage learning technologies, data insights, and AI-enabled approaches to enhance learner experience, personalization, and efficiency.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the learning ecosystem and digital learning experience. 

Programs, Projects & Partnerships

  • Plan, manage, and coordinate recurring learning initiatives and cross-functional or transformation-driven projects.
  • Lead collaboration with external learning vendors and partners, ensuring high-quality, tailored solutions.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of learning initiatives across all functions Stores, HQ, Distribution Centers, and Home Shop Center.

Learning Impact & Continuous Improvement

  • Measure and evaluate learning effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Translate learning insights into concrete recommendations that improve capability development and business outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of learning accountability, continuous improvement, and impact orientation.

Who we are looking for

  • University degree in Business Administration, Psychology, HR, or a related field.
  • MSc in HRM or a relevant discipline is considered a strong asset.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Learning & Development within a fast-paced organization or consulting environment.
  • Proven experience in end-to-end learning design, delivery, and program ownership.
  • Strong expertise in adult learning methodologies.
  • Digital savviness, including LMS management and use of digital learning platforms.
  • Exposure to learning analytics, evaluation, and data-driven improvement.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate across functions and levels.
  • Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and verbal.

process looks like?

Application

Share your enthusiasm for Ahold Delhaize or of our great local brands — explain why do you want to work for us and how you can add value. Your goal is to engage the hiring manager and to get them thinking about you as a potential new hire. Give it your all!

Job interview(s)

After you have been selected and depending on the role, you will be invited for one or more job interviews. The job interview, which is a two way conversation, will take place online (via Teams) or at the office. You will be informed by the recruiter. This is your moment to shine (but you always do ofcourse)

Online Assessment

When both parties would like to continue the conversation you will be invited for an online assessement, also known as pre-employment tests. The purpose of the test is helping hiring manager determine whether a candidate has the skills, work style, knowlegde of personality to succeed in a the role.

Job Offer

We are thrilled to get you onboard and would like to offer you the job. In this phase we start the conversation about the details which comes with the job, such as compensation, benefits and other contract details.
