Your new work environment
As Communications Manager Leadership & Strategy (focus area: Thriving People), you will join the Ahold Delhaize Global Communications team at Group level. In this central role, you support the company’s Growing Together strategy and work closely with senior functional and executive management.
You will be part of the Leadership & Strategy Communications team and report to the Director Leadership & Strategy Communications. In this position, you collaborate with colleagues from Media & External Relations, Branding & Channels, HR and our local brand communication teams. Together, you build and activate the Ahold Delhaize story for internal stakeholders across our international portfolio of strong local brands in Europe, the United States and Indonesia.
You will work in a fast-paced, international environment where complex topics (strategy, people agenda, performance, M&A, financials) need to be translated into clear, engaging communication. You will partner with highly critical and senior stakeholders, while having the scope to bring in your own strategic and creative ideas.

Key responsibilities of your role
You will work on a variety of assignments that cover the full range of leadership, strategy and people-related communications, including:Â
Lead and coordinate strategic communication programs that support the Growing Together strategy and the Thriving People priority.
Manage complex, long-term communication projects such as leadership events, internal strategy engagement and Annual Report content.
Develop and continuously refine the Ahold Delhaize Group narrative for internal stakeholders.
Translate complex strategic, financial and operational topics into clear, compelling stories for leaders and associates.
Manage internal communications on key business topics (performance, restructuring, investments/divestments, M&A and financial results).
Ensure consistent activation of the Ahold Delhaize brand and key messages across all internal channels and touchpoints.
Act as a trusted communications advisor and key point of contact for senior leaders and selected corporate functions (e.g. HR, Ahold Delhaize Group).
Own the Thriving People communication agenda, building strong stakeholder relationships and coordinating integrated people, culture and leadership communications.

Requirements
We think you’ll be best set up for success if you bring:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 5–9 years of internal and/or external communications experience, preferably in a leading multinational or communications agency.
Proven experience in leadership and strategy communications programs.
Experience in brand and reputation management in an international environment.
Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution skills.
The ability to quickly master complex information and translate it into clear, engaging content for different internal audiences.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trust with critical, senior stakeholders while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Excellent English (native or near-native) and strong proficiency in Dutch, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to create clear arguments and simple, impactful messages.
