Job’s Purpose 

As a Junior Category Manager, you will be a member of Commerce team, who will be involved in all aspects of sourcing and category management portfolio and other relevant projects to maximize performance and profitability for the assigned categories. The role actively contributes in strategic category management to thrive in variety, quality, and value according to AB’s high business standards.

What you will focus on  

  • Participate in the formation of the composition of variety of products, by focusing on improving efficiency and satisfying the needs of customers
  • Conduct market analysis and monitor the price level for products of your responsibility in relation to competition to identify emerging trends and opportunities for growth
  • Monitor the performance of the products in your liability categories, from all shops (retail, wholesale, franchise)
  • Maintain products’ intended level of competence, by being on top of your category products stock
  • Negotiate with suppliers regarding products for the whole stores network, and ensure buying high quality products under the best possible terms
  • Be involved in the configuration and maintenance of the action plan in your liability category
  • Participate in the design and implementation of your category promotional plan in collaboration with cross-functional teams

What you bring

  • BSc in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or any relevant field. MSc would be considered an asset
  • Working experience 2 to 4 years, in relevant position in the FMCG sector (preferably food) or product management category
  • Fluency in English language, both written and spoken
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Sufficient knowledge of SAP would be considered an asset

Application

Job interview(s)

When both parties would like to continue the conversation you will be invited for an online assessement, also known as pre-employment tests. The purpose of the test is helping hiring manager determine whether a candidate has the skills, work style, knowlegde of personality to succeed in a the role.
