As Legal Manager Operations & Innovation, you’ll be at the heart of the Ahold Delhaize legal community. With your creativity and vision, you will support, drive and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal function. You will be supporting strategic initiatives and improving processes, tools, and ways of working.

Your new work environment 

As Legal Manager Operations & Innovation, you will join the Ahold Delhaize legal community. Key areas of work in this community are covered by dedicated teams, each with their own expertise. For the European part, this concerns the legal teams for Technology, Data Privacy, Commerce, as well as Projects & M&A and Legal Operations -  which is where you will be based. 

You’ll work closely with and support all these teams. You’ll also cooperate with other teams and departments across Ahold Delhaize, both locally and globally. Your role includes working with the Corporate Affairs legal team , Public Affairs and Compliance & Ethics when needed. 

Joining the team means you’ll work with a group of energetic, open-minded and highly skilled colleagues. You will help to drive the development and implementation of the legal department’s strategic roadmap.

 

Key responsibilities of your role 

You are critical to help shape and further innovate legal function. Your role is highly diverse and encompasses various responsibilities.

Your key responsibilities include: 

  • You will help to (further) define and implement the Legal Operations strategy and long-term roadmap, ensuring continuous progress on strategic priorities. 
  • You will oversee the legal department’s budgets and external legal spend, while also strengthening partnerships with external legal service providers.  
  • You will drive knowledge sharing and improve information governance  
  • Leveraging technology is central to this role.  
  • You will also support broader organizational initiatives, with a focus on team development and operational excellence.

Requirements 

We think you’ll be best geared for success if you meet the following requirements: 

  • At least 5 years of experience in legal practice 
  • Master of Law preferred (LLM in Legal Management is a plus) 
  • Based in the Netherlands

Job interview(s)

After you have been selected and depending on the role, you will be invited for one or more job interviews. The job interview, which is a two way conversation, will take place online (via Teams) or at the office. You will be informed by the recruiter. This is your moment to shine (but you always do ofcourse)

Online Assessment

When both parties would like to continue the conversation you will be invited for an online assessement, also known as pre-employment tests. The purpose of the test is helping hiring manager determine whether a candidate has the skills, work style, knowlegde of personality to succeed in a the role.
