Your new work environmentÂ
As Legal Manager Operations & Innovation, you will join the Ahold Delhaize legal community. Key areas of work in this community are covered by dedicated teams, each with their own expertise. For the European part, this concerns the legal teams for Technology, Data Privacy, Commerce, as well as Projects & M&A and Legal Operations - which is where you will be based.Â
You’ll work closely with and support all these teams. You’ll also cooperate with other teams and departments across Ahold Delhaize, both locally and globally. Your role includes working with the Corporate Affairs legal team , Public Affairs and Compliance & Ethics when needed.Â
Joining the team means you’ll work with a group of energetic, open-minded and highly skilled colleagues. You will help to drive the development and implementation of the legal department’s strategic roadmap.

Key responsibilities of your roleÂ
You are critical to help shape and further innovate legal function. Your role is highly diverse and encompasses various responsibilities.
Your key responsibilities include:Â
- You will help to (further) define and implement the Legal Operations strategy and long-term roadmap, ensuring continuous progress on strategic priorities.Â
- You will oversee the legal department’s budgets and external legal spend, while also strengthening partnerships with external legal service providers. Â
- You will drive knowledge sharing and improve information governance Â
- Leveraging technology is central to this role. Â
- You will also support broader organizational initiatives, with a focus on team development and operational excellence. Â

RequirementsÂ
We think you’ll be best geared for success if you meet the following requirements:Â
- At least 5 years of experience in legal practiceÂ
- Master of Law preferred (LLM in Legal Management is a plus)Â
- Based in the NetherlandsÂ
