The Floor Planner is responsible for the creation, update, and optimization of the commercial layout of retail stores, ensuring that space allocation aligns with company strategy, assortment decisions, and customer behavior. The role combines analytical and technical skills with operational execution and cross-functional collaboration.

This position plays a key role in integrating store architectural data into the JDA Floor Planning system and leveraging it to support category projects, store remodeling, and business expansion.

 

What you will focus on:

 

     Commercial Layout Design

  • Create floorplans for remodelings, new openings, projects based on commercial strategy and following module matrix rules.
  • Collaborate with shelf planners to ensure alignment between planograms and physical store layouts.
  • Ensure layouts optimize customer navigation, category adjacencies, and space productivity.

 

    Floor Plan Management & System Integration

  • Input and manage accurate store layout data (fixtures, dimensions, categories) into the JDA Floor Planning tool.
  • Existing floorplans maintenance and planogram connection with layouts
  • Maintain the floor plan database across ΑΒ/ΕΝΑ/affiliate stores, ensuring updates after layout changes or new openings.
  • Collaborate with IT for system integration, testing, and ongoing technical improvements.
  • Support the cleansing and standardization of legacy data.

 

     Projects & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Support commercial projects, new concept rollouts, and pilot initiatives that involve space changes (ex new F&V).
  • Act as a bridge between Space Planning, Assortment, Operations, and the Commercial department.
  • Communicate with stores to gather input and validate floor plans as needed.

 

     Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Generate reports on space allocation, commercial zoning, and layout performance.
  • Identify optimization opportunities using data insights and propose layout improvements.
  • Coordinate closely with Real Estate, Retail Operations, Merchandising and Property Development, Execution, etc. throughout all stages of the design of our stores.
  • Perform daily, weekly & other regular analysis (before/after changes)

 

What you bring

  • Experience in retail design, visual merchandising, store operations, or related field (2–4 years preferred). Understanding of retail space utilization and flow
  • BSc in Business Administration, Architecture/ Interior Design, Supply Chain Management or any related field.  
  • Familiarity with JDA (Blue Yonder) Floor Planning tool would be considered a plus – or strong willingness to be trained
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and analytical/reporting skills
  • Ability to understand technical system processes and participate in UAT / integrations
  • Fluency in English language, both written and spoken.
