Your purpose

As our Format Development Manager, you will take on a multidimensional role that combines strategy, analytical skills, planning, creativity, and effective project management. You will be at the forefront of developing and implementing the new concepts for AB retail, ensuring consistency with the corporate identity and adherence to AB brand guidelines while collaborating a lot with many stakeholders (operations, commerce, marketing etc). What you will focus on

  • Strategic Concept Creation: Develop innovative retail formats and store concepts that align with the company's overall business strategy and brand positioning.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct market studies to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape analysis.
  • Customer Journey Mapping: Create detailed customer journey models to optimize store layouts and shopping experiences.
  • Prototype Design: Create and test prototype stores to validate new concepts before wider rollout.
  • Cross-Format Innovation: Identify opportunities to blend formats or create hybrid concepts (e.g., combining grocery with food service).
  • Value Proposition Development: Craft unique selling propositions for different store formats that address specific market segments.
  • ROI Modeling: Analyze potential return on investment for new format implementations, including capital expenditure planning.
  • Pilot Program Management: Design and oversee pilot implementations of new formats to test viability and gather performance data.

 

Who we are looking for

  • BSc in Business or Marketing, or any relevant field. MBA would be considered as an asset.
  • Working experience 4 - 5 years, with a strong preference in retail industry, FMCG.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or retail experience will be considered as a strong plus.
  • Experience in store processes and project management.
  • Fluency in English language, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.

Application

Job interview(s)

After you have been selected and depending on the role, you will be invited for one or more job interviews. The job interview, which is a two way conversation, will take place online (via Teams) or at the office. You will be informed by the recruiter. This is your moment to shine (but you always do ofcourse)

Online Assessment

When both parties would like to continue the conversation you will be invited for an online assessement, also known as pre-employment tests. The purpose of the test is helping hiring manager determine whether a candidate has the skills, work style, knowlegde of personality to succeed in a the role.

Job Offer

We are thrilled to get you onboard and would like to offer you the job. In this phase we start the conversation about the details which comes with the job, such as compensation, benefits and other contract details.
