European Business Services (EBS) provides an array of professional services in HR, Finance, and Not for Resale Sourcing, characterized by high volumes, multi-brand, and multi-country operations. Our goal is to drive down costs, unlock savings, and enable each brand to focus on business performance to deliver Ahold Delhaize’s objectives.
The EBS Finance Transformation team drives EU-wide finance projects, ensuring a common way of working, efficient EU blueprints, and the implementation of these pillars across all Ahold Delhaize’s operating countries in Europe. They design, deliver, and support next-generation solutions for Purchase to Pay (P2P), Order to Cash (O2C), and Record to Report (R2R) processes. Ensuring 100% timely and flawless execution and delivery, we aim to provide a seamless processing of high-volume financial transactions and excellent customer experience for our brands.
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for the following tasks:
- Posting, reconciling, and controlling the general ledger in accordance with IFRS 16
- Posting and monitoring incoming and outgoing documentation
- Monitoring the acquisition and capitalization of fixed assets, as well as their sale and disposal
We think you’ll be best geared for success if you meet the following requirements:
- Minimum IV level of economic or other professional education
- Minimum 2 years of experience in same or similar roles
- English language proficiency at B1 level or higher (required)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience working with SAP will be considered an advantage
- Familiarity with IFRS 16 is preferred
