We’re seeking a skilled project manager to join our Finance Transformation team. As the EBS Finance Transformation Manager, you will be responsible for driving European Finance projects, including EU Finance and EU Financial control change projects You will be part of the Finance transformation roadmap, driving projects in the Financial Control area (such as Blackline rollout and smart optimizations of the closing). Your role will involve driving harmonization of processes over Europe; making decisions on finance processes and finance application landscape adjustments.

European Business Services (EBS) provides an array of professional services in HR, Finance, and Not for Resale Sourcing, characterized by high volumes, multi-brand, and multi-country operations. The EBS Finance Transformation team drives EU-wide finance projects, ensuring a common way of working, efficient EU blueprints, and the implementation of these pillars across all Ahold Delhaize’s operating countries in Europe. They design, deliver, and support next-generation solutions for Purchase to Pay (P2P), Order to Cash (O2C), and Record to Report (R2R) processes. Ensuring 100% timely and flawless execution and delivery, we aim to provide a seamless processing of high-volume financial transactions and excellent customer experience for our brands.

 

About the role
You will collaborate closely with other AD EU Finance teams and the brand Business Services Financial Closing teams to accelerate Finance Transformation, ensuring changes are scalable and efficiently managed within our F&A processes. Ensuring high-quality financial services for all brands, you will develop finance team members and support employees to smoothly adopt changes during transitions.
You’ll manage the full Finance Transformation Project, including preparation, planning, execution and evaluation all ensuring stakeholders needs and project goals are aligned. 

  • Preparation: You’ll identify and collect ideas, analyze business needs, define project scope and objectives, and determine feasibility. You ensure internal client requirements are explicit, challenge requirements, and select resources and project teams.
  • Planning: Formulate project plans including resourcing, planning, risk mitigation, quality control, and organizational requirements. Determine budget and acquire approval.
  • Execution: Manage project execution, coordinate involved parties, and monitor consistency with the project plan.
  • Evaluation: Analyze and manage risks, issues, and quality, ensuring deliverables meet quality agreements, standards, budget, and guidelines. Ensure project closure, documentation, and handover to the business. Identify and analyze lessons learned.

In addition, you keep up to date with relevant developments within your field of expertise, and align this alongside the strategy and goals of Ahold Delhaize and the European Brands. Management information is key, you ensure, explain and follow up on project management reports and keep your stakeholders up to date.

Position is based in one of the EU AD Brand locations using the AD local office as home base. 
Limited travel is required to connect to the project team and the EU and local Business Services Finance team. 


We think you’ll be best geared for success if you meet the following requirements:  

  • You bring a bachelor's or Master degree in a relevant field and 5-7 years of relevant work experience. 
  • Preferably you’ve started your career in Audit or Accounting and bring this solid background in Finance.
  • Preferably you’ve have experience in managing change or transformation projects, within Finance and on EU Scale. 
  • You’re having a drive for change; innovation; and harmonization.
  • You bring strong Stakeholder Management skills.
  • You are a strong communicator and can easily connect with internal and external stakeholders, cross-functional and cross-cultural.
