Your Purpose
As a Pricing Specialist, you will be a key member of the Trade team, working closely with the Commerce Department for optimizing price perception of shoppers for the Alpha Beta stores. The primary focus of your role will be to analyze and consult the Category Teams on the price structure of their categories, in order to optimize competitiveness within the pricing policy guidelines. It requires the ability to understand the categories structure and objectives, as well as what data is available, in order to identify strong and weak points, to spot opportunities and threats. Finaly, to apply the price structure to the pricing tool to monitor and compare against competition and measure the impact in turnover and gross profit.

What you will focus on 

  • Analyze internal and market pricing data
  • Evaluate product categories and recommend optimal pricing structure to maximize competitivenes
  • Contribute in pricing policy implementation
  • Use pricing tools
  • Collaborate with Category Managers, Buying Directors and other departments
  • Monitor pricing execution and optimize AB Pricing Competitiveness 

What you have

  • BSc in Business Administration or any other relevant field
  • MSc / MBA would be considered an asset
  • Working experience of at least 3-5 years in Retail Category Management or FMCG data analytics, preferably at a multinational environment
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Fluency in English language, both written and spoken

Application

Job interview(s)

After you have been selected and depending on the role, you will be invited for one or more job interviews. The job interview, which is a two way conversation, will take place online (via Teams) or at the office. You will be informed by the recruiter. This is your moment to shine (but you always do ofcourse)

Online Assessment

When both parties would like to continue the conversation you will be invited for an online assessement, also known as pre-employment tests. The purpose of the test is helping hiring manager determine whether a candidate has the skills, work style, knowlegde of personality to succeed in a the role.
