About Ahold Delhaize

We’re Ahold Delhaize, one of the world’s largest food retail groups and a leader in both supermarkets and e-commerce. Together with our 17 strong local retail brands in the United States, Europe and Indonesia, we make a meaningful difference in the lives of our brands’ customers, our people and the world around us. We offer a highly dynamic, international work environment in which our associates thrive.

Your new work environment
As a Vendor Master Data (VMD) Specialist at Ahold Delhaize in the Netherlands, you play a crucial role in managing the NFR Vendor Master Data. Your primary responsibility is ensuring the accuracy of all NFR VM data, which are the cornerstone of all our sourcing and procurement processes. You review, validate, and approve daily VMD changes, provide reports, and conduct periodic checks to ensure data quality. You work daily with other Ahold Delhaize departments and our outsourcing partners abroad to make sure the VMD process is running smoothly. Additionally, you monitor data consistency between systems and proactively engage with stakeholders to maintain VMD integrity. For this role we are looking for someone who is available for 16 hours per week, always a few hours on Tuesdays, the remaining hours in consultation with your colleague VMD Specialist.

In this role you are the point of escalation for VMD issues for parties involved and you are accountable for the performance of parties responsible for NL NFR vendor master data processing. Your role is dynamic and vital to the smooth functioning of NFR operations within Ahold Delhaize. Together with your direct VMD colleague you will make sure the work is continuously managed, and backup is arranged.

You will be given the freedom and responsibility to take ownership of your work and broaden your horizons by working together with knowledgeable colleagues from different countries who have an abundance of expertise in many areas. We will continually invest in you and help you build on your talents and skills for the future.

Key responsibilities of your role

  • Your role is highly diverse and encompasses various responsibilities. Here are the key ones:
  • Managing and maintaining accurate Vendor Master Data (VMD) crucial for sourcing, contracting, and payments
  • Act as the central point of contact for VMD inquiries from various stakeholders, ensuring timely processing and data integrity
  • Verifying data accuracy, conducting checks, and monitoring VMD quality to ensure uninterrupted business operations
  • Resolve daily data issues, collaborate with teams, and escalate complex problems, contributing to process improvements
  • Supporting NFR stakeholders by resolving issues beyond the NFR Buying Desk's capabilities

What’s in it for you?
Aside from what we ask of you in this role, we also have a great deal to offer you: plenty of growth opportunities and various cross-brand career options; flexible working hours; a hybrid working model (we ask you to spend at least 25% of your working time at the office); and the chance to drive meaningful changes in VMD processes for NL, and possibly on EU scale in the future . You can look forward to a good work-life balance, and the chance to work in an inclusive environment that wholeheartedly encourages growth and welcomes you just the way you are.
Plus:

  •  A gross hourly salary around 20 euro's per hour
  • Attractive bonuses
  • A first-rate pension plan
  • 45 vacation days per year (25,5 vacation days + 19,5 paid-leave days) based on a fulltime contract
  • Travel expenses or an NS travel card
  • A laptop and smartphone

Requirements

  • We think you’ll be best geared for success if you meet the following requirements:
  • Around 2 years of experience in a Data Administration role
  • Experience in operating ERP systems and maintaining efficient ways of working
  • Affinity with data analytics (Power BI, Excel)
  • Ability to effectively present information
  • Capacity to respond to questions from stakeholders at all levels
  • Fluent Dutch & English

Aside from these hard skills, we think you should also bring some much-valued soft skills to the table: an entrepreneurial mindset, outspoken communication skills and a proactive approach. In addition to these, a high level of creativity, empathy, and enthusiasm will take you far.
