Job’s purpose

The SAP Data Platform team, part of Center of Excellence (CoE) Data Insights & Analytics, drives the design, delivery, and governance of regional SAP Data Platforms, providing robust solutions to empower Business Intelligence across Retail, Marketing and Finance. The team also ensures for application change management, configuration management and system governance, partnering with local IT Demand teams, Business Units, External Integrators, and other Global IT Teams such as Digital, Supply Chain, Infrastructure and Security.

As a Product Owner within this dynamic environment, you will act as the customer’s voice, taking ownership of the development and enhancement of the products. By working closely with the Scrum Master and the scrum team, you will manage the product backlog, prioritize features and monitor progress to ensure the delivery of high-value, innovative solutions. Also, you will play a critical role in aligning projects with business needs, driving continuous improvement and creating maximum business value.

 

What you will focus on

  • Manage the roadmap and backlog for the purpose of product innovation and development of the products in close collaboration with the business.
  • Manage and review the value stream capacity.
  • Lead the planning and review sessions of the teams contributing to his/her EPICs/Features
  • Manage impediments, risks and dependencies for the workstream.
  • Prepare and contribute to Program steering committees.
  • Hands-on functional analysis refinement for small or standard features.
  • Follows applicable Standards, Procedures, Guidelines and Methodologies in the implementation and/or maintenance of the data analytics (data science) platform.
  • Act as SPOC towards Business, and other IT teams for the assigned value stream, ensuring regular and transparent communication around project/feature status towards all stakeholders inside and outside of the Centre of Excellence Customer D&A.

Who we are looking for

  • Master’s degree in information technology sciences, or any other discipline of technical orientation.
  • Mandatory prior experience of minimum 5-10 years as Agile IT Product Owner, Product Manager, Scrum Master or related work experience. Previous experience as Functional/Business Analyst would be a plus.
  • Experience managing projects delivering reporting capabilities, based on SAP Data Platforms i.e. SAP BW, SAP BO/BODS, SAP HANA, SAP CAR
  • Functional knowledge and understanding of SAP Retail processes and modules.
  • Clearly demonstrate expertise in agile project management methodology, escalation, process management and business systems requirements definition.
  • Working knowledge on the implementation of data warehousing solutions.
  • Working experience in standard IT/ITIL processes (change management, release management, incident management, project management).
  • Excellent command of Microsoft solutions (Office, Project, Visio).
  • Business requirements gathering, structuring and decomposition.
  • Any data and functional knowledge on the following systems is a plus:
    • Customer Loyalty solutions
    • POS solutions
    • eCommerce platforms
    • Retail and Financial Systems (i.e. SAP Retail)
    • Customer Relationship Management systems
    • Data science solutions
  • Experience in implementing a leading enterprise Retail, Marketing, Customer Loyalty solution will be considered an asset.
  • Experience in delivering projects based on Hybrid, On-prem and PaaS/SaaS technologies would be advantageous.
  • Excellent command of the English language both written & spoken. Knowledge of French and/or Dutch and/or Greek and/or Romanian and/or Serbian will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to travel whenever necessary to BeCSE countries: Belgium, Greece, Romania, Czech Republic, Serbia.
