How you can make a difference
As Manager ESG & EU Taxonomy reporting, you’ll be responsible for the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) reporting and EU Taxonomy reporting which captures multiple growth drivers for the company. The ESG and EU taxonomy area reflects business strategy, data analytics & reporting and close partnership with Finance colleagues and Business. As ESG topics become more integrated into the core of our business practices, the reporting function has become a reflection of that and will develop further in future.

Your new job and work environment
In your role as Manager ESG Reporting EU, you are the go- to person for EU Brands on EU taxonomy and ESG (CSRD) reporting. You have in depth knowledge on EU Taxonomy and CSRD reporting requirements and keep up with new developments. You can translate requirements into pragmatic solutions and improved reporting processes in the Brands (growth path), with the appropriate assurance levels. Together with the EU Director ESG reporting you are the sparring partner for Brand reporting leads, Finance leaders, FP&A and Business on EU taxonomy and CSRD. You report to the EU Director ESG Reporting.
The newly arising area of ESG requires focus on continuous developments and improvements, and a lot of change management and stakeholder interaction. Based on Ahold Delhaize’s Growing together strategy, the EU Brands are going through a transformation where ESG Reporting is a fundamental role. You seek for alignment between brands and help developing ESG reporting policies and guidelines, and you identify topics which can be reported centrally.
Your role is highly diverse and encompasses various responsibilities. Here are the key ones:
- Single point of contact and expert on EU Taxonomy and CSRD reporting for EU Brands; EU go-to person for new developments, guidance, best practice sharing etc.
- Supporting EU Brand teams on EU taxonomy and CSRD reporting requirements and reporting processes
- Suggest and help implement further automation & improvements on EU taxonomy reporting process in the Brands
- Preparing internal reporting to EU and local Business stakeholders (CFO’s, BPP, Finance Business partners) and participating on the establishment of ESG goals & target setting with the Brands and stakeholders.
- Coordinating with internal and external auditors
- Continuous improvement of ESG reporting processes
- Internal coordination of deadlines and changes in reporting

Requirements
We think you’ll be best geared for success if you meet the following requirements:
- At least 6 years of experience in a reporting and/or controlling function.
- Experience with ESG or Fixed Asset management reporting and project management is a benefit.
- Mature personality, ability to act individually and to coordinate large group of stakeholders in this process in order to ensure high quality and efficient reporting.
- Cooperative with strong negotiation skills.
- Fluent English to be able to communicate with Group departments as well as with the broad AD community responsible for ESG reporting in other AD countries.
- Presentation and analytical skills.
