Please note the requirements for this internship:

  • You must be based in the Netherlands and able to work at least 2-3 days per week from our headquarters in Zaandam.  
  • You must be enrolled in a Dutch University/HBO throughout the whole duration of the internship (Feb/March-June/July 2025).

As an intern within our global department of Governance Compliance & Awareness (GCA), you can help on several initiatives in the Awareness domains. We will look into your strengths, your interests and available projects as we onboard you.

We do this by building a resilient human firewall through knowledge sharing and associate training.  

As an intern within Governance, Compliance & Awareness (GCA), you can help on several initiatives in the Governance, Compliance and Awareness domains. We will look into your strengths, your interests and available projects as we onboard you. The purpose of GCA is to sustain a risk aware culture and uphold compliance and policy. We do this by building a resilient human firewall through knowledge sharing and associate training.  

   

A few example responsibilities or tasks that are part of your daily job:  

  • You will support other GCA and information security associates.  
  • You will learn a lot during our time with us and get enthusiastic about information security, our company and, hopefully, our department.  
  • You can support and, where possible, independently add value and help keep our company secure.   

 

In this position you work a maximum of 32-40 hours per week, partly from our head office in Zaandam and partly from home.

What you bring.

Required but preferred if some knowledge in the area of:  

  • Communication and Marketing.  
  • Security Awareness Training and Information Security Assessment.  
  • Information Security.  
  • Human Risk Management.  
  • IT basic knowledge.  

  

Besides the mentioned hard skills, you are:  

  • Eager to learn.  
  • Good at verbal and written communication.  
  • Great at interpersonal and social connections.  
  • Practical in problem-solving.  
  • Able to adapt easily in new situations.

process looks like?

Application

Share your enthusiasm for Ahold Delhaize or of our great local brands — explain why do you want to work for us and how you can add value. Your goal is to engage the hiring manager and to get them thinking about you as a potential new hire. Give it your all!

Job interview(s)

After you have been selected and depending on the role, you will be invited for one or more job interviews. The job interview, which is a two way conversation, will take place online (via Teams) or at the office. You will be informed by the recruiter. This is your moment to shine (but you always do ofcourse)

Online Assessment

When both parties would like to continue the conversation you will be invited for an online assessement, also known as pre-employment tests. The purpose of the test is helping hiring manager determine whether a candidate has the skills, work style, knowlegde of personality to succeed in a the role.

Job Offer

We are thrilled to get you onboard and would like to offer you the job. In this phase we start the conversation about the details which comes with the job, such as compensation, benefits and other contract details.
