Ahold Delhaize is one of the world's largest food retail groups and a leader in both supermarkets and e-Commerce. Our Global Support Office (GSO) is based in Zaandam in the Netherlands, but GSO associates also work in all the countries we serve. This team supports all our great local brands in finance, HR, IT, legal, communications, sustainable retailing, and other key functions. . 

 

What you’ll be doing ...

Unlike many other companies, Internal Audit at Ahold Delhaize is future-oriented and has a strong focus on strategy. Within several business processes (such as marketing, commerce, logistics, real estate, stores, supply chain) you will investigate if the operational processes support the strategic objectives. Also, you will provide assurance over digital, data, and technology related initiatives and projects at Ahold Delhaize to further improve our customer journey and proposition. You audit from a business perspective and act as a trusted advisor for your stakeholders, while remaining objective in your assessment of the control framework. Based on your observations, you provide tailor-made recommendations for improvement.

The audit team’s priorities are focused on helping our business partners achieve their goals and objectives by managing risk through:

  • Maintaining proactive relationships with business management teams to stay in-sync with an ever-changing business environment.
  • Designing and executing audit programs covering operational, technology, compliance, and financial risks, targeting high-risk areas in the company’s processes and systems
  • Creating impactful recommendations to assist management in better managing their risks
  • Communicating audit results to senior leaders
  • Attending learning programs, training and networking sessions while preparing yourself to become a future leader in our organization.

Essential Functions:

In your role as Senior Specialist IT Auditor, you will have a unique opportunity to see and understand many different areas of our company, including the latest digital and technology related developments and projects (e.g., Cloud Transformation, Dev Sec Ops, Automation, Data lakes). You will be part of a multidisciplinary team with different backgrounds (audit and non-audit) and not only perform IT audits but incorporate your IT knowledge into the successful execution of operational audits. Together with the team you are responsible for analyzing and assessing risk management within a business unit. Subsequently, you share the observations with management to define next steps together. Every audit is unique, as you will work on different topics within different brands and changing audit teams.

To support Ahold Delhaize in their digital journey, Internal Audit is developing a team with enhanced technical knowledge and capabilities as we implement a more data driven, and technology enabled audit life cycle. We are looking for a Senior Specialist IT auditor who can support us and Ahold Delhaize in this technical transformation.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science / information technology or related subject area.
  • 4-6 years’ experience in a professional work environment (Big 4 or large retail company) with specific experience with cloud security, SAP, customer facing applications, cybersecurity, network security, store and supply chain IT.
  • Relevant IT certifications such as CISSP and CISA.
  • Already in possession of or willingness to gain SAP S/4HANA credentials.
  • Preferably, experience in implementation, security and auditing of SAP within a large retail company.
  • Strong analytical skills, written and oral communication skills.
  • Project management skills – work in and/or lead teams to effectively perform work and prioritize assignments within challenging deadlines
  • The ability to establish and maintain relationships with senior business leaders.
  • The ability to be independent, decisive and a self- supporting team player.
  • Understanding how new technology impacts business process (i.e. cloud, mechanization, internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI).
  • Ability to travel within the US 10-20%
