Dive wholeheartedly into these key responsibilities: 

• Draft, review, and negotiate various IT-related agreements such as software and technology licensing, master services, statements of work, cloud technology, cloud hosting, data colocation, SaaS, resellers, and professional services 
• Collaborate both independently and within our IT Legal team to support Ahold Delhaize's digital initiatives
• Offer expert legal counsel on IT law topics, encompassing cybersecurity, contract law, open source software, artificial intelligence, and intellectual property, ensuring that our IT operations adhere to the latest regulatory standards
• Keep abreast of developments in IT law and industry trends

As Legal Counsel IT at Ahold Delhaize, you assume end-to-end responsibility for all legal work supporting various strategic endeavours in our Information technology domains. Your role involves offering precise legal counsel that aligns with the perspectives of both internal and external stakeholders, while keeping Ahold Delhaize's technology strategy at the forefront of your considerations.

The role of Legal Counsel IT revolves around the legal aspects of the information technologies we use and procure for our Global organisation. This means you'll navigate the intricate legal landscape of technology agreements. As a large part of your role, you will take point in crafting, negotiating and reviewing contracts and safeguarding the company's interests in the dynamic world of information technology. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in sustaining Ahold Delhaize's technological advancements and strategic partnerships. 

This position is part of the Global Legal and Public Affairs team, comprising legal, public affairs, and asset protection experts with a broad focus and proficient experience. Working in this team, you will substantially broaden your horizon and deepen your impact. Being open and caring about the team, you will thrive in a supportive and fun working environment. As our new Legal Counsel IT, you will report directly to the Direct IT Legal Counsel while working closely with two other IT Legal Counsels, all collaborative, hard-working, and fun colleagues. We welcome caring colleagues who: 

• Possess A Master's degree in law from a Dutch university, along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in legal roles within leading multinational companies and/or law firms
• Demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in IT and contract law, combined with excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
• Are capable to bring IT deals to closure through proactive and solution-oriented approaches.
• Can bridge the gap between business needs and legal requirements by collaborating with the IT Department, Cyber Security, Data Protection, Finance, our Digital Strategy Teams, and other stakeholders
• Have a structured approach to tasks and deadlines, maintaining composure even while managing multiple tasks
• Possess a natural curiosity, an aptitude for technology, and strong analytical skills
• Exhibit proficiency in both spoken and written Dutch and English
