Starting in September, we are offering a 4 to 6-month paid internship for a Bachelor student who is passionate about data analysis and dashboarding and eager to gain experience in a business context!

Your new job and workplace.
For this internship, you will be in touch with colleagues worldwide. You will gather information on the effect of the ‘product safety culture’ on the ‘cost of product safety’, based on recent internal and external reports and other (historical) information. We are working on product safety culture, and the internship will create additional insights in this area. Although it is a hands-on internship, there may be a possibility of combining it with a study assignment or thesis, depending on your availability. The assignment/key result areas:

• Set up a business case scenario for the effects of product safety culture, based on internal and external (historical) data.
• Perform an analysis to define the scope and architecture of such an approach.
• Provide insights into the outcomes of the business case scenario using data from our own operation’s product safety performance.
• Support the Product Safety team on a case-by-case project basis.

What you will learn as a Product Safety intern within Ahold Delhaize (examples, not meant to be exhaustive):

• Feeling for the dynamics in the global retail sector and its value chain.
• Project coordination skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills.

In this position, you work 32-40 hours per week, partly from our head office in Zaandam and partly from home.

• You are a bachelor student in the direction of Food Commerce & Technology or another business administration related study, preferably in the third or fourth year. (Candidates who have already graduated and will not be enrolled in a university for the entire duration of the internship will not be considered for this role).
• Outstanding analytical skills.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Flexible, pro-active and independent.
• You must be based in The Netherlands and able to work from our head office in Zaandam at least 1-2 days per week.
• Are available from August / September.

In addition, you:

• Demonstrate versatility and flexibility: willing and able to use different skills depending on the task at hand.
• Have a hands-on mentality.
• Have strong communication skills associated with working in an international environment & multi-cultural team, and networks.
• Are eager to learn whether in terms of content (new topics) or practically speaking.
