Your new role and environment.

As a Java Developer, you'll play a crucial role in our ongoing transformation and micro service adventure. If you’d like to work with leading tech stacks like Kotlin, Java, Kafka, helping make amazing applications for the Stores landscape, and much more, then this is the ideal place for you!

Key responsibilities of your role.

  • Build a greenfield microservices architecture on Kotlin/Java for the Stores Cluster
  • Develop technical solutions in line with our systems and business process architecture;
  • Develop proofs of concept, build code, implement and execute automated testing, ensure security and code quality, develop best practices and execute automated testing;
  • Further enhance our technical standards and guidelines;
  • Work closely within a product team, participating in agile ceremonies, story refinement, code changes, deployments, and production support activities.
  • Share your expertise and contribute to initiatives and your product cluster and the broader AH Technology Platform;

Requirements.

We think you’ll be best geared for success if you can meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience working as a Java Developer;
  • Broad technical knowledge including Kotlin & Java, Microservices, Cloud (preferably Azure and OCI), API and non-functional requirements such as scalability and technical security;
  • Big plus if you have knowledge of Oracle PL SQL;
  • Knowledge on event streaming and messaging platform (Kafka) is a big plus;
  • Knowledge and experience on Agile;

Application

Share your enthusiasm for Ahold Delhaize or of our great local brands — explain why do you want to work for us and how you can add value. Your goal is to engage the hiring manager and to get them thinking about you as a potential new hire. Give it your all!

Job interview(s)

After you have been selected and depending on the role, you will be invited for one or more job interviews. The job interview, which is a two way conversation, will take place online (via Teams) or at the office. You will be informed by the recruiter. This is your moment to shine (but you always do ofcourse)

Online Assessment

When both parties would like to continue the conversation you will be invited for an online assessement, also known as pre-employment tests. The purpose of the test is helping hiring manager determine whether a candidate has the skills, work style, knowlegde of personality to succeed in a the role.

Job Offer

We are thrilled to get you onboard and would like to offer you the job. In this phase we start the conversation about the details which comes with the job, such as compensation, benefits and other contract details.
