As the Project Manager - Transformation, you will operate at the heart of our European, fast-moving business. By driving and coordinating our transformation initiatives, you ensure that our European Ahold Delhaize’s brands keep on track of our HR services transformation and strategy, while delivering high standards in HR Operations and processes. This role is pivotal in driving HR Services Transformation, focusing on workforce skills, capability building and strengthening our HR organization, therefore we are looking for an experienced Project Manager who loves to work in a dynamic organization.

Key responsibilities of your role  

The Project Manager leads and supports the development and implementation of key programs to accelerate progress on strategic HR topics linked to the AD EU&I business agenda; these are programs either common to all countries or programs that are related to innovation and best practice development to be subsequently implemented in the local countries/brands.  

 

Your role is highly diverse and encompasses various responsibilities. Here are the key ones: 

 

  • HR Transformation: You will drive and support the development and implementation of our HR Business Services Transformation program and manage transformation programs impacting AD Business Services HR processes, for example the set-up of career centers in several countries 
  • HR Projects: You will enhance organizational effectiveness through strategic HR projects and ensure a common way of working and define an efficient and effective blueprint, leveraging our Belgrade Services HUB including transitioning of work. 
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholder expectations and satisfaction, cooperate with internal and external stakeholders to realize project goals. Provide advice while maintaining the right balance between conflicting interests.   
  • Capability frameworks: you will design and review business capability frameworks. 

 

This role will concentrate on improving and developing the HR Services organization, including processes and methods of working within brands. The position reports to the VP Business Services HR.

Requirements 

  • We think you’ll be best geared for success if you meet the following requirements: 
  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in Transformation programs 
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices 
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills 
  • Ability to translate strategic vision into actionable directives 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Willingness to travel within Europe 

 

Aside from these hard skills, we think you should also bring some much-valued soft skills to the table: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a proactive approach. In addition to these, the ability to work collaboratively in a global environment, empathy, and enthusiasm will take you far.
