Would you like to become part of a young international team and help shape Ahold Delhaize’s Not-for-Resale (NFR) purchasing department? At the Development & Intelligence (D&I) team we offer an interesting and versatile internship position, which will allow you to make an impact on European level. Keep on reading if you would like to learn more about purchasing, improve your communication skills and take on responsibility!  
  
This is what you will be doing  

  • As an intern in the D&I team you will work on many projects in the procurement development & intelligence domain, stimulating European cross-border collaboration and improving European sourcing practices. As part of your daily activities you will:  
  • Support with the communication and organization of events like NFR’s ‘Supplier Innovation Days’ (think ‘Shark Tank’, but in the Not-for-Resale domain).  
  • Coordinate and publish the European newsletter. 
  • Perform supplier discovery by identifying new companies in the market.  
  • Follow market developments in selected sub-categories.  
  • Create actionable insights for our category teams based on market intelligence.  

  
Your new workplace   

The Development & Intelligence team is a small team of six, all coming from diverse backgrounds representing together five nationalities and eight languages. The atmosphere within the team is collaborative, caring, flexible and fun. Even though we are a small team, we have great ambitious, like to focus on innovation, and pride ourselves with providing the best support to the NFR sourcing crew.  

In this position you will work 40 hours per week, partly from our headquarters in Zaandam and partly from home.

For this position we are preferably looking for someone who strengthens the diversity in our team, in the broadest sense of the word. We’re a truly European department, looking beyond borders to deliver the best sourcing solutions for all our European brands across the Netherlands, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia and Greece. The NfR Sourcing department employs 90 highly skilled professionals, including over 50 strategic sourcing managers and many others working in support functions like development & intelligence; finance; and operational procurement. Job interview(s)

After you have been selected and depending on the role, you will be invited for one or more job interviews. The job interview, which is a two way conversation, will take place online (via Teams) or at the office. You will be informed by the recruiter. This is your moment to shine (but you always do ofcourse)

Online Assessment

When both parties would like to continue the conversation you will be invited for an online assessement, also known as pre-employment tests. The purpose of the test is helping hiring manager determine whether a candidate has the skills, work style, knowlegde of personality to succeed in a the role.
