As FIT EU Programme Lead Architect at Ahold Delhaize, you lead our architecture work on the Finance IT Transformation (FIT) European Programme and co-ordinate that with Ahold Group, EU and EU Brands needs.

 

As FIT EU Programme Lead Architect, you will be working for Ahold Delhaize with approximately 400k employees worldwide serve over 50 million customers a week. Your new work environment

Your main focus will be to develop the architecture recommendations for the Finance IT Transformation (FIT) EU Programme and work with enterprise architects, business analysts and project/program managers to shape technology and solution architecture deliverables.  Implement architectural governance for the FIT EU Programme throughout the programme lifecycle and ensure compliance with relevant architectural policies/standards and applicable regulatory and security needs.

The technology context for this FIT EU Programme Architecture role is the deployment of an instance of SAP S4 Finance and associated finance/planning/vendor systems.  The SAP S4 instance for EU will share a global finance S4 template already deployed in ADUSA.  These finance systems support over 400,000 associates in 8 countries including USA, Netherlands, Belgium and countries in Central Southern Europe.

The business context is a global finance function, supported by regional (ADUSA and EU) teams connected with brand based local finance teams and shared service functions for finance transaction processing (one in US and one in EU).  The FIT EU programme architect works with global, European and brand based architects to shape the technology solutions for the FIT EU Programme.

Key responsibilities of your role

Your role is highly diverse and encompasses various responsibilities. Here are the key ones:

 

As FIT EU Programme Lead Architect, you will make an impact at Ahold Delhaize by:

 

  • Leading and inspiring the FIT EU IT teams in the areas of Strategy, Architecture and Roadmaps to develop and establish firm control over the architectural recommendations of the programme
  • Design FIT EU technology solutions from an architecture perspective that are economically sensible, commercially viable and deliver business objectives
  • Define and manage the FIT EU architecture roadmap in line with Global Tech strategy and overarching Enterprise Architecture roadmap
  • Develop and manage an FIT EU architecture governance process to ensure compliance to security, privacy and regulatory aspects of the programme
  • Develop and manage an architecture governance process for FIT EU Programme to ensure compliance to security, privacy and regulatory aspects of all projects
  • Maintain the integrity of a FIT global template deployed in both the ADUSA and EU S4 FIT instances
  • Instill financial discipline into FIT EU Programme architectural ways of working and ensure that the FIT EU Tech roadmap fits into the financial constraints for the programme

Requirements

We think you’ll be best geared for success if you meet the following requirements:

  • a relevant Bachelor/Master's degree or suitable experience
  • at least 10 years of experience at Management level within Enterprise environments
  • Proven Track Record with Finance Domain Architectures, Finance Solutions and connected systems
  • Strong background in SAP S4 Finance solutions in multi-country, multi-brand, omni-channel retailers
  • Seasoned professional with directly relevant experience from multi-site, multi-country retail/FMCG/CPG/ecommerce organizations
  • Certifications such as TOGAF 2, TOGAF 9 , Prince2 Foundation, ITIL Foundation are highly appreciated but not mandatory
  • You are familiar with one of more of the following topics;Agile Methodology and/or Scrum, Consultancy Skills, Agile Architecture, Archimate, Business Case for Architects
